Workspace and account

Members, roles and invitations

Invite workspace members and understand owner permissions, team membership and access states.

Last updated July 28, 2026

Workspace roles

Limin currently has two workspace roles:

  • Owner manages workspace access, identity, billing and deletion.
  • Member works with teams, issues and views.

The person who creates a workspace is its owner. Team membership is separate from the workspace role and determines who can be assigned a team’s issues.

We plan to add more roles in the future, to allow finer-grained control over workspace access and permissions.

Invite a member

Workspace owners can open Settings → Workspace → Members and choose Invite member. Enter the person’s email address and send the invitation.

The person should use the same address when creating or accessing Limin.

Free access supports five active members. Pending invitations and active members also determine the minimum seat count for a Team subscription.

Invitation states

An invitation can be pending, expired or cancelled. The workspace owner can show inactive entries to review expired invitations.

If an invitation expires, the owner can send a new one. The invited person can then go to Limin to continue or initiate the sign-up process.

Deactivate a member

Deactivation immediately removes the member’s workspace access but keeps the account available for later reactivation.

Before deactivation, Limin shows how many assigned issues will be affected. The member is removed from their teams and their assigned issues are unassigned.

On Free access, an owner can reactivate the member only when a member slot is available. On the Team plan, reactivation may require adding a seat.

Remove a member permanently

Removing a member permanently deletes their account from the workspace and unassigns their issues. This action cannot be undone.

Workspace owners cannot deactivate or remove themselves. An owner who needs to remove their own data must schedule deletion of the entire workspace.
