Start with a system view
Each team includes three system views:
- All issues includes every active issue in the team (non-deleted and non-archived).
- Active issues includes issues which status is in Up next or In progress status group.
- Backlog includes issues in the Backlog status group.
System views cannot be renamed or deleted. Changes you make to their filters or layout act as your own preferences. Use Save as when the result should become a named view.
Filter a view
Open Filters in the board header. You can filter by:
- Status or status group.
- Priority.
- Assignee, including unassigned issues.
- Label.
- Activity such as recently created, updated or completed issues.
Selected filters appear as tags in the header. Remove an individual tag or choose Reset view to return to the view’s saved state.
Filters combine to narrow the result. For example, selecting the In progress group, Urgent priority and current user assignee produces work matching all three dimensions.
View preferences
For each view, you can freely modify the layout and its filters. When you do so, the name of the view appears in italics to indicate that it is no longer in its saved state.
Your changes are automatically saved as your personal preferences, and shared across all your devices. They do not affect other users, and they do not change the saved view.
For example, you may customize the All issues system view to show only your own work in a list layout. Other users will still see the default All issues view.
Save a new view
- Apply the filters and choose the board or list layout you need.
- Open the view actions menu.
- Choose Save as.
- Enter a name and optional description.
- Choose public or private visibility.
- Save the view.
A public view is available to everyone in the workspace. A private view is visible only to you.
Update or delete a saved view
When you change the filters of a non-system view, choose Save filters from the view menu to update it.
Choose Show details to edit its name, description, layout or visibility.
Choose Delete view to remove a non-system view. Deleting a view does not affect its issues.
View archived issues
Archived issues live outside normal views. Open the view actions menu and choose Archived issues to see the team’s archived work.
Learn how issues enter that list in Archive and delete issues.
