Create your workspace
Creating a workspace takes only a few minutes. Don’t overthink it, most settings can be changed later. The two important exceptions are the workspace URL slug and each team’s issue prefix.
Sign in with your email address, choose your display name, then name your workspace and optionally upload an image.
Limin assigns the workspace a unique slug used in its URL.
The person who creates the workspace becomes its owner. The owner manages workspace membership, billing and sensitive workspace-level settings.
Create your first team
A team might represent a product area, discipline or delivery group, such as Product, Mobile or Infrastructure.
Choose a short prefix such as PRO, MOB or INF. The prefix becomes part of every issue identifier in that team, for example, PRO-1.
Team prefixes are permanent. They can contain uppercase letters and numbers but cannot be changed after the team has been created.
Limin creates your first team with a starter workflow, labels and system views. You can customise them later from team settings.
We populate the first team’s board with sample issues to help you explore the workflow. Feel free to edit or delete them.
Invite teammates
You can invite up to four other people during onboarding or skip this step and invite them later from Settings → Workspace → Members.
Invitations are tied to an email address. The invited person must sign in to Limin with that same address before joining the workspace.
Workspace members can browse its teams and join the teams they work with. Team membership determines who can be assigned issues in that team.
Create your first issue
- Choose New issue in the sidebar.
- Enter a clear, outcome-focused title.
- Choose its status and priority.
- Add an assignee, labels or description when useful.
- Choose Create.
Open the issue to add context, discuss the work or change its fields. On the board, drag it between statuses as the work progresses.
Moving an issue into a status belonging to the Done group marks it as completed. Add a resolution note when the outcome will be useful to related or future work.
You can also edit any issue from the board by right-clicking it, or by clicking directly on its assignee, priority or labels.
Changes appear in real time for other people looking at the same board or issue.
