Troubleshoot common problems

Resolve common sign-in, invitation, board, view, issue-limit and connection problems.

Last updated July 28, 2026

I did not receive a sign-in code

Check the email address, spam folder and any company email filtering. Request a new code and use the most recent message.

If Limin reports too many attempts, wait before requesting another code. Repeated requests are rate-limited for account security.

My workspace invitation expired

Ask a workspace owner to send a new invitation to the same email address. Stay on the expired-invitation screen and retry after the new invitation arrives, or log out if you need to use another account.

My account is deactivated

Only the workspace owner can reactivate access. On Free access, a member slot must be available. On the Team plan, the owner may need to add a seat.

I cannot create an issue

Check these conditions:

  • The workspace has at least one team.
  • The selected team has at least one status.
  • The issue has a title.
  • The workspace has not reached its 100-issue Free limit.
  • The workspace is active and not scheduled for deletion.

The setup state in the creation dialog links to the missing team or status configuration.

A board or issue will not load

Use the retry action shown in the error state. If a banner appears, click Refresh data or wait for the banner disappearance before repeating the action.

Confirm that you still have workspace access and that the team or issue was not deleted by another member.

A saved view is private or missing

A private view is accessible only to its owner. Ask the owner to change it to public or create your own view with the same filters.

A missing view may have been deleted. Return to Active issues or choose another view from the picker.

I cannot invite or reactivate a member

Free access supports five active members. Deactivate or remove an unused member, cancel a pending invitation, or upgrade to the Team plan.

On a paid workspace, active members and pending invitations determine the minimum seat count. The owner can add the required seat while inviting or reactivating.

Changes are not appearing in real time

Limin normally updates boards and issues through a live connection. Refresh the page to reconcile current data. If the connection problem continues, check your network, VPN or browser extensions and try again.
