Add attachments to an issue
You can add images, videos, documents and other files to issue descriptions and resolution notes, both while creating an issue and when editing one.
Use any of these methods:
- Choose Attach file and select one or more files.
- Paste files from the clipboard into the editor.
- Drag and drop files where you want them to appear.
You cannot finish creating a new issue while its description contains an unfinished or failed upload.
Upload limits
Each attachment must be within the limit for its type:
| Attachment type | Limit |
|---|---|
| Images | 30 MB |
| Videos | 1 GB |
| Other files | 250 MB |
Attachment storage is shared across the workspace:
| Access | Workspace attachment storage |
|---|---|
| Free access | 500 MB |
| Team plan | Unlimited |
If a Free workspace reaches 500 MB, existing attachments remain available and issue text can still be edited. New uploads require available storage or an upgrade to the Team plan.
Images
Images displayed inline can be PNG, JPEG or WebP. Other formats are accepted but appear as downloadable files. Select an uploaded image to:
- Keep its automatic width or choose a small, medium, large or full-width size.
- Enter an exact width or drag the resize handle.
- Add alternative text for people who use screen readers.
- Download or remove the image.
Videos
Limin supports videos that play directly in modern browsers, such as MP4, WebM and Ogg, as well as common formats such as MOV, AVI and MKV that may need a little time to prepare after upload. If a video cannot be converted for playback, it remains available as a downloadable file.
Videos appear in an inline player. You can play or pause, seek, change the volume or playback speed, enter full screen, download the video or remove it. Videos that are still being prepared show their current status in the editor.
Other files
Other files appear with their filename and a download action. You can also rename the displayed filename or remove it through the menu. Renaming a file does not convert it or change its file type.
If you remove an attachment by mistake, use Command/Ctrl + Z immediately to undo the change. Attachments on archived issues are read-only.
