Add an image to an issue

Image attachments can be embedded in an issue description or resolution notes. They are available while creating an issue and when editing an existing issue.

Use any of these methods:

• Choose Attach beside the editor and select an image.
• Paste an image from the clipboard into the editor.
• Drag and drop an image file to the position where it should appear.

The upload placeholder shows progress. If an upload fails, choose Retry upload or remove it. You cannot finish creating a new issue while its description contains an unfinished or failed upload.

Comments and replies do not currently accept image attachments, but we’ll bring this feature in a coming update.

Supported images and upload limits

Limin accepts PNG, JPEG and WebP images up to 30 MB each. Videos, documents and other file types are not yet supported.

Image attachment storage is shared across the workspace:

The Team plan removes the workspace storage allowance, but each image must still meet the 30 MB upload limit.

If a Free workspace reaches 500 MB, existing images remain available and issue text can still be edited. New image uploads are blocked until storage becomes available or the workspace upgrades.

Resize and describe an image

Select an uploaded image to open its actions. You can:

• Keep its automatic width or choose a small, medium, large or full-width size.
• Enter an exact width in pixels or drag the resize handle.
• Add alternative text for people who use screen readers.
• Download the original image.
• Remove the image from the issue field.

Remove an image

Limin reclaims unreferenced attachment storage through background cleanup, so storage capacity is not updated immediately after an image is removed. This allows you to undo an accidental image removal without needing to re-upload it (use CMD/CTRL+Z).

Archived issues are read-only, including their images. Deleting an issue also schedules its image attachments for cleanup.
